Large Nose Pores
The Standard On Large Nose Pores
Large pores are not attractive, but large nose pores are even worse. Your nose is the focal point of your face, so it’s usually the first thing people see. Having a zit on your nose, or even large pores can be unsightly. Those who have them just want a simple solution to fix it.
Large nose pores are caused by oily skin, and even combination skin can be a culprit. The pores will become larger when the oil glands expand, meaning they have to be kept clean and under control. The only way to keep the oil glands from getting larger is to keep the face clean, and to exfoliate the face regularly. Keeping the face clean will keep the oil from building up and clogging the pores and exfoliating the face will slough away dead skin, and keep the layers of skin from piling up which in turn creates more oil.
Pores allow your skin to breathe, so anytime those pores are clogged dirt gets trapped and infects the pore which is where acne and pimples come from. These pimples can turn into whiteheads or blackheads and the size of the pimple is usually a good indicator of the size of the pores.
Large nose pores can also be hereditary in nature. Men and women can pass large nose pores down to their children if they are part of their true genetic makeup. As we get older, the pores can increase in size as the skin develops more elasticity. The skin begins to stretch out, and takes the opening of the pores with it, so continue to take care of your skin as you age.
Sun damage is believed to be a contributor to large nose pores too. Many dermatologists say that when laying out in the sun, the skin absorbs vitamin D which is good for the skin, but the combination of sweating from the heat, and the UV rays are what cause the pores to enlarge. Radiologists have often told cancer patients that over time if excessive amounts of radiation are used, then it’s possible that the pores in their skin will become larger. Families of these patients have struggled with this treatment to determine whether or not it was a good option, let alone to only find out that their loved ones bodies couldn’t properly be embalmed. With the larger pores, the skin becomes porous meaning that the skin can’t hold any fluid or retain its normal balance which is why this happens. This information is enough for people to know that they may want to use better sunscreen or spend less time exposing their body to radiation and tanning beds.
In order to eliminate the blackheads that can be caused by large nose pores, you can invest in a blackhead extractor. The challenge with this tool is that it may enlarge other smaller pores around it as the extractor reaches just below the surface to get the blackhead out. It is best to not aggravate the skin, so using a warm compress may be better, or even using pore strips such as Biore or Clean and Clear are safer and not invasive to the skin’s surface.
In 2005, there was a product that was introduced called a foundation primer that creates a thin layer between the skin and the foundation. The primer was designed to keep the pores from getting clogged by makeup and other cosmetic offerings. The key to using the correct foundation is looking for one that says “non-comedagenic”, which means that it doesn’t tend to clog pores, and typically is made with a water base instead of an oil base.
To keep oil away from the face during the day, use blotting papers. Many cosmetic companies offer these oil blotting papers at a reasonable cost, and they fit right into your purse. These can be touched to the forehead to remove oil, and any part of the face that feels oily. Just press to the facial area and then pull it back to see all of the oil that you have removed. You might be surprised with how much oil your face can produce in a short period of time. Then, you can just throw these away. Just remember to wash your make up off and clean your face thoroughly before going to bed, and then wash your face first thing in the morning. This is the most natural way to prevent getting large nose pores.
